- Tighten Awning Companion thumb screws
- Squeeze the trigger to tension the poles

Erecting the awning on your own
Like it or not, you are often left to get that awning up by yourself. That is when you find that you need three hands to hold the poles apart in tension and tighten up the pole fitting.
